Is the exam period approaching and your anxiety begins to overwhelm you, to the point where you lose your self-control, as a result, you do not perform at all?

Do negative thoughts about failing to learn the exam material creep into your mind that you can't handle?

Then, it's time to learn to calm your stress, to be functional and productive!

But what can you do every day to combat stress, which acts as an inhibitor to taking action for your future success in the professional field?

  • Sleep 7-8 hours!
  • Eat healthy!
  • Work out for half an hour outdoors!
  • Choose an airy and sunny place to study!
  • Clean and tidy up this space!
  • Have a bath!
  • Listen to music and dance!
  • Take deep breaths!
  • Make positive statements about yourself!
  • Turn off your cell phone!
  • Take your agenda and write down what material you can cover during the day, based on the exam date!
  • Place on your desk, the notes and books you intend to study, as well as your case!
  • Put a bottle of water and a glass on the table!
  • Start reading the material out loud, slowly and steadily, doing at first a simple and then a more thorough reading of the text you are reading!

  • Write down key words with pen, pencil and stamp!
  • Put a subheading in each paragraph!
  • Make a story with what you read and try to combine it with your personal experiences!
  • Review the text you have studied so far before moving on to the next one!
  • Make an outline, write it on paper, say out loud what you have understood so far from what you have read and try to tell it to a hypothetical spectator watching you in as simple words as you can!
  • Take a break every hour and drink water at regular intervals!
  • Eat salad and fruit!
  • Complete the material, reward yourself for this, the achievement, not only verbally, but also in writing, in your diary and put a tick in your agenda notes, next to the material, which you committed to yourself to cover!
  • Dress up and go out for a walk by yourself!

And remember:

Anxiety lingers and is reinforced when there is no proper preparation, in terms of organizing the space, reading, but also the inclusion of good habits in your life! Everything else is an excuse! Excuses, which keep you stagnant and afraid! But you know something? When you face your fear, nothing happens, or rather, it does!

You gain self-confidence and at the same time, your self-esteem!
