Many confuse introversion with selfishness!
The term 'introspection' created by Dr. Nancy Mallero. It refers to the act of focusing within ourselves, of finding our center-our core. That inner point where everything feels right, where thoughts align with our values, the mind is calm and the soul is peaceful (Esocentrism, 2022).
Introversion is NOT individualism, narcissism, indifference to others, or a lack of social vision. Endocentrism is the self-care of the cell, so that the organism is healthy.
What can you do to be an introvert?
- Forget about expectations
- Focus on the real mission and do the best you can
- Be authentic and real
- Be prepared to suffer the consequences
- Respect the authenticity of others
A key part of introspection is the term 'retrospectively. It doesn't mean not admitting my mistakes and not apologizing. But it means making introspective choices and not apologizing for them, not feeling bad and not owing explanations.
You have the right to:
- To say NO
- Say I DON'T KNOW
- To make mistakes
- Have an opinion and an opinion
- Choose who and when you will help
- Have private moments
- To ask
- Claim it
But you also have the obligation to:
- Take your responsibilities
- To pay the price of your mistakes
- Don't be manipulative and reductive
- Respect the rights of others
- Evaluate before rejecting
- Talk about yourself and not others
- Recognize that we are all different and have different values, perspectives and needs
Don't apologize if your light is too bright and overshadows someone else. Your uniqueness is your strength!
You have the right, but also the obligation to live responsibly!
Happiness is a personal matter and you are responsible for it!
Finally, remember.. You can't take care of anyone else if you don't take care of yourself first!
