Take the "lesson" and see it differently! For you!
There were times when you hoped he would come back.
For the door to open and for him to enter. That he would give you a "warm" hug and tell you that he is here for you! Let him tell you that he regretted it and that he still loves you! In vain, however, he did not come! No matter how long you waited, nothing changed. This circle ended ingloriously! Unexpectedly, without many words and from a message! A message, without explanations, rather than statements! Statements that negated what he had been saying for so long! One more lie, added to the "agenda"! A lie, capable of erasing everything positive you had in it!
You did not tolerate mockery and evasions! But above all, the cowardice to come and tell you to your face.
This rejection, however, over time, "hardened" you.
Rejection made you absolute and strict in your criteria, it made you set limits from the beginning and not let your emotions "take over" you. It made you more of a rationalist and now, you don't hope for anyone else, but only you! You have realized that you come into this life alone and you leave alone! Sure, in between, you have fellow travelers, but this time you're willing to choose them more wisely. Don't make "discounts" and don't deal with people who don't deserve your attention, because you don't have options or because you feel sorry for them.
You are not, after all, a "charity"! You have not been assigned the role of savior either!
You realized that you have to prioritize yourself and not let anyone or anything stand in your way! You realized that you have to treat yourself as if they are the most important and important person in your life, which they are, in order to attract at the same time, people who not only want to receive, but also to give!
And everything changed through the change of your mentality! You were "fighting" inside! You were experiencing internal "conflicts" and chose your well-being and evolution! You didn't beg anyone and supported yourself!
It wasn't easy, but you passed the "course" successfully!
